Paving Information

Paving Impacts : Here are some tips and things to be aware of when paving is happening in and around your neighborhood.

Construction equipment and noise.
You may see heavy equipment going in and out of your neighborhood. This may result in “construction type” noise.

You may experience some traffic delays due to lane restrictions.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We may have to come back to stripe.
Construction takes time, sometimes several days.  Often we have to come back the next day, or even several days later to complete a project. For example, we may wait and stripe several streets at the same time. This saves staff time and money, but may mean your street doesn’t get striped right after it is paved. We are committed to getting each project done in a timely and efficient manner.

Access to your driveway may be temporarily disrupted.
Crews will work with citizens whenever possible to help you get in or out of your driveway.

Don’t park on the street the day of paving.
Vehicles parked on the street during resurfacing work will be towed at the owner’s expense. A day or two before work occurs, the Contractor will place “No Parking” signs on the streets to notify you.

Watch and obey flaggers.
They are there to protect you and construction workers.

We sometimes arrive early in the morning.
Contractor’s crews work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

If you have a Question or a Problem please do not hesitate to contact the Street Department at (330)833-5746 or Engineering Department promptly at (330) 830-1722.
Don’t let the question or problem go un-noticed. It is often much easier while the Contractor is on site to remedy any problems.
