The Treasurer is elected for a 4 year term. In Massillon, this is a part-time position. The duties of the Treasurer are outlined in the Ohio Revised Code: to keep an accurate accounting of all monies received by various city departments, as well as all disbursements from city funds. The Treasurer is also responsible for investing city dollars.
