SECTION 725.04 PERMIT CONDITIONS: No more than three (3) garage sales may be held at the same residence during a calendar year and they cannot be conducted closer than thirty (30) days to one another. If more than one residence joins in filing a written notice, then such notice shall be considered as having been filed for each and all such residence. SECTION 725.05 HOURS OF OPERATION: Garage sales shall be limited to no more than the daylight hours of three (3) consecutive days or two consecutive weekends, Saturday and Sunday. (Ord. 150-1984.) SECTION 725.08 ADVERTISING- SIGNS: (1) Two signs permitted. Two signs of not more than four square feet shall be permitted to be displayed on the property of the residence where the garage sale is being conducted. (2) Directional Signs: Two signs of not more than two square feet each are permitted provided that the premises upon which the garage sale is conducted is not on a major thoroughfare, i.e., Lincoln Way, Route 21, etc., and written permission to erect such signs is received from the property owners upon whose property such signs are to be placed. No such signs shall be placed on public property. This would include telephone poles, street signs, etc., (Ord. 1188.03 A-4). Signs may NOT be posted within 10 feet from the edge of the roadway. (3) Time Limitations: No sign or other form of an advertisement shall be exhibited for more than two days prior to the day such sale is to commence. (4) Removal of Signs: Signs must be removed each day at the close of the garage sales activities or by the end of the daylight, whichever first occurs.
