The Massillon City Health Department’s outreach efforts reflect our strong commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of Massillon residents, addressing basic needs, and promoting community health and safety.  Our Outreach Services Coordinator, Joe Heinzer, continues to play a vital role in the success of our initiatives.

This summer, the Massillon City Health Department continued connecting local families with essential resources, trusted information, and meaningful community support.

Throughout June, July, and August, we distributed 10,952 diapers, incontinence supplies, and period products:

• June: 3,793
• July: 3,191
• August: 3,968

Our Pop-Up Pantry served 642 families this summer:

• June: 222 families
• July: 168 families—even through the thunderstorms!
• August: 252 families

We also participated in National Night Out, where we helped distribute ZEVO and Deterra products along with free educational materials. At Downtown Fun Fest, we connected with hundreds of families, decorated more than 300 tumblers, and shared information about the many resources available through the Health Department.
