Tree Removal Program

The City of Massillon is hereby authorized to assist private property owners in the removal of overgrown, dead, diseased or obstructing trees located within the Right of Way or Tree Lawn in accordance with the procedures set forth in Chapter 558 of the Massillon Codified Ordinances.
The purpose of this program shall be to encourage private property owners located in the City of Massillon to remove the above described trees before they become an immediate hazard. The program shall be limited to tree and stump removal projects which comply with the criteria set forth in this Chapter 558 of the Massillon Codified Odinances and subject to the availability of City funds.
