Construction Notes:
The Engineering Department develops plans and specifications and provides construction management services for sanitary and storm sewers, storm water and water quality management systems, and roadway improvements. We also assist other City departments with design services for maintenance and improvements to various facilities.
Roadway improvement projects are identified either through the City’s five-year capital improvement program, or the Stark County Area Transportation Study program. Storm drainage improvements are also done in accordance with the City’s capital improvement program and on an as needed basis.
Construction Inspection/Administration includes the inspection of various projects that include sanitary sewer, storm drainage, roadway reconstruction and resurfacing projects under contract by the City of Massillon.
